2011 Sendai earthquake and tsunami : TEPCO(1)

The managing director of The Tokyo Electric Power Company, Inc.:TEPCO,Akio Komori visited the Fukushima antidisaster headquarter. He was surrounded there by reporters and was busy with an answer to the question during about 50 minutes.

He was the predecessor director of Fukushima 1 Nuclear Power Plant.

“Does TEPCO continue a nuclear power generation business in future?”

“Does Fukushima have the future and the hope?”

He was not able to answer the question from a reporter.

He said that he had not argued about the abolition of the nuclear reactors where an accident happened with executive officers so far. Though TEPCO insisted that the nuclear power generation was very safe so far, it caused a serious accident.

He insisted that there was a cause for an earthquake and a tsunami. His claim is insensitive.

Another executive officer who was with him repeated an irresponsible remark. TEPCO was shown an unripe thing in corporate governance.
