“BBC program sneered at two folds of Japanese A-bomb victims.”
Such news was reported in all Japanese media.
BBC and a program production company apologized to Japanese atom bomb victims by a joint signature.
“We are sorry for any offence caused. QI never sets out to cause offence with any of the people or subjects it covers. However on this occasion, given the sensitivity of the subject matter for Japanese viewers, we understand why they did not feel it appropriate for inclusion in the programme.”
However, it does not become the problem between Japan and Britain. The program didn’t sneer at a Japanese A-bomb victim. As for it, a rather British railroad was an example of there being more problems than a Japanese railroad.
It’s Japanese jumping to a misleading conclusion. The problem that is serious as of substance between Japan and the U.K. has nothing.
It’s only the result that the Japanese who does not understand English well held unpleasantness in the program for an uncertain preconception.
