Cherry blossoms and town in Hakodate

There is always my heart in Hakodate and Sweden. The small town Hakodate is heterogeneous in Japan. Because Hakodate opened the port in the oldest in Japan to West. The big island of the Japanese northernmost  Hokkaido is still considered to be a remote place for a Japanese. The cold of Hokkaido is felt for many Japanese severely. However, the people who were born and raised here are used to cold.

A building of the 19/20th century when most are characteristic is left in Hakodate. The particularly old private houses have the West and Japanese both styles. And once many foreigners lived in this small town. The Hakodate citizen interchanged with the people from the foreign countries for a long time.
